When I was a student, I painted a portrait for the first time in a long time. I remember the time when I was so nervous that I could not get the shape I wanted at all, and I was trying my best to run my brush along, thinking that I still had a long way to go. From that time on, I was conscious of wanting to compose something.

学生の頃に久しぶりに人物を描きました。緊張してしまい、まったく思うように形が取れず、まだまだだと思いながら、懸命に筆を走らせていたころを思い出します。このころから何かを構成したいという意識がありました。
