Background: 

Parties and Celebrations are a big lifestyle and culture trend in Nigeria, especially Lagos. Lagos doubles as Hustle City (the economic capital of Nigeria) and also the Party City (home to Afro-beat music, Music Stars, Top DJ's and Night Clubs); ' No Party like the Lagos Party'

Social Parties (Owambe) are synonymous to drinks, food, music and dance, but the party isn't complete if wads of cash isn't complimenting the dance steps and music.

Central Bank Of Nigeria, placed a ban on currency use for parties, social gathering or celebrations. These new policy change discourages defacing and misuse of the Nigerian Legal tender. There is a need for faux note for party 'use-only' to keep the culture and vibe of the party alive.

Brief: 

A client reached out to me to create faux notes for a 70th Birthday Celebration of her Mom. A Seventieth birthday celebration is a big celebration of life.

Specific request: no use of imagery and #200 & #500 denominations only

I chose theme, colours and styles around flourishing, fertility (motherhood) while still keeping the likeness close to actual currency styles and colour theme.
