It was a mosque renovation project. In 2006, a one-story mosque was built here. Now, local residents are planning to extend this mosque into a four-story structure, and that’s where our project began. Our goal was to elevate the mosque into a comprehensive four-story building, equipped with all the amenities expected in a modern place of worship. The mosque’s redevelopment plan aims to accommodate over 600 worshipers simultaneously during prayer times. During various religious events such as Jumma, Shaba Barat, and Shaba Qadr, when the number of worshipers increases, they can also queue outdoors on the east side of the mosque. A few ablution areas and toilets have been strategically positioned on the ground floor and first floor, maintaining a suitable distance from the prayer space. Adjacent to the mosque, there is a pond where local people usually perform ablution. Furthermore, there is a designated area for the muezzin  and imam of the masjid to stay.

Right from the project’s outset, we placed great emphasis on engaging with the local community. Understanding their unique preferences and needs was paramount in guiding our design process. We endeavored to create a space that not only honored tradition but also met the contemporary requirements of worshipers. Throughout the design journey, we remained mindful of preserving the cultural identity of the region while incorporating innovative features to enhance functionality and accessibility. The transformed mosque stands as a testament to our commitment to serving the spiritual and communal needs of the village, reflecting the collective vision and aspirations of its residents.

Guided by the needs of the local community, we meticulously crafted a specific design using 3D visualization, ensuring each step resonated with their aspirations. With every brick laid, our focus remained on creating a haven that honors both tradition and innovation.  Through thoughtful planning, we’ve transformed the mosque into more than just a place of worship. It will serve as a beacon of unity, hosting various religious ceremonies and fostering community connections after construction complete. In our design, every corner echoes the collective spirit of the village, embodying a space where all are welcome to seek solace and communion.
