UChicago Creative is undergoing changes in creative development process. We have documents that serve as reference tools for those within our department and those wishing to know our process. Currently, my task is to re-work this long, complicated document into something more readable and understandable.
Below is the current version of the development process charts:
As you see, it's pretty overwhelming to look at. For the new version, a different layout was developed to better relate to our task management system, Asana. This way of project management outlines milestones within the project. The updated version of these charts highlights those milestones and presents the process as a journey.
The second version still has a lot of detail. And although it is very informative and gives a lot of detail for those interested, we thought an even simpler version would be helpful to present the process at its simplest. For this, we created icons to demontrate checkpoints in the process and added color and a flow that is easier to follow.
